Clare Skelding

Regional Executive Principal

Clare is an experienced Principal who joined the Dixons Academies Trust in April 2018 from Feversham College.

Clare completed her PGCE in a school based course at Thomas Telford CTC. After completing her PGCE, it was important for Clare to work in her home county of Yorkshire and she now has over 20 years' experience teaching in Bradford. She is committed to working in areas of high social deprivation and improving outcomes for all. Clare has spent the last 10 years in Principal roles.

In her previous role as Principal at Feversham College, a college that consistently ranked as one of the best in the country, Clare oversaw the conversion to academy status. Under her tenure, Feversham Education Trust became an approved academy sponsor.

Clare is unrelenting in her commitment to improving educational standards and life chances of students regardless of their backgrounds or starting points. Clare has also led a Teaching School that has been praised for its work and impact across the city. She firmly believes that we must do ‘whatever it takes to ensure students succeed’.
