Simon Gayle
Senior Vice Principal
Simon has worked in schools across West Yorkshire as an RE teacher. He joined Dixons Kings Academy as Head of Department for RE and was later made Head of Faculty. Within the department, outcomes for students have been consistently outstanding with a progress score above +2.
In 2015, Simon moved from his department role to focus on whole school teaching and learning. This involved leading CPD, coaching and practice across the academy. During this time, the school’s Ofsted rating moved from Requires Improvement to Outstanding.
As a Senior Vice Principal, Simon continues to support teaching and learning and quality assurance in the academy. In 2020, he moved to take responsibility for behaviour and attitudes in the academy.
